Returning this year after a brief hiatus, the North Shore District Event welcomed teams from Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Maine, Rhode Island and Pennsylvania to Reading Memorial High School!
Thanks to guest speaker Manasa Akella, a FIRST alum who landed at GE Aerospace, and to RMHS anthem performers for starting our competition off in style with dueling guitars and strong vocals.
For a few years, North Shore has been an excellent showcase of both the oldest FIRST students and their complicated machines in FRC, as well as the youngest FIRST students and their creative projects in FLL Explore! The Explore Festival was a special afternoon for everyone who participated and cheered them on.
Our mentor lounges have been stocked with the generous help of donated machines from Shark Ninja this season! Every machine used in a mentor lounge this season will be raffled off to a team, mentor or volunteer at the end of the event. Thanks to North Shore's head referee Scott Shaw who made this possible!
The high score of qualifications, 436, was a preview of the winning alliance with two out of three teams who would make up Alliance 1. They beat this score in playoffs with an event high score of 464.
