FIRST in Mass.

With an inspiring number of 700 teams in 2024-2025, 70% of which are FLL teams, Massachusetts is truly a robotics hub. Companies and colleges from all over the state, including Medtronic, Mathworks, PTC, Worcester Polytechnic Institute, Western New England University and Merrimack College, support each program and the success of NE FIRST as a whole. WPI specifically is the home to many events that bring our community closer, including the premier FRC off-season Battlecry and the New England Mentor Conference.

Join in the fun! NE FIRST events are open to the public.

A typical competition starts with teams arriving, getting set up, and practicing before they participate in matches that determine their qualification ranking.  Events will include an opening ceremony each morning, a lunch break (concessions available!) and a concluding awards ceremony! When you arrive, look for the info desk to find the day's schedule or a map of where teams from near you are set up. Questions? Email the contacts on this page!
