FIRST LEGO League

FIRST® LEGO® League introduces STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) to children ages 5-16 through fun, exciting hands-on learning. Participants gain real-world problem-solving experiences through a guided, global robotics program using LEGO® technology, helping today’s students, families, and educators build a better future together.

Learn more about the archaeology-themed sets for the 2025–26 season, UNEARTHED, below!

The next generation of FIRST LEGO League creates an evolved experience leveraging LEGO® Education Computer Science & AI kits, which consist of teacher support materials, bricks, hardware and code, designed for bringing computer science into the daily lives of students. The experience is designed to make implementation easy and seamless in both classrooms and after-school environments. With hardware powered by LEGO Education Computer Science & AI, the program will meaningfully engage every type of learner, including those who may not have naturally seen themselves in robotics or STEM.

Join in the fun! NE FIRST events are open to the public.

A typical competition starts with teams arriving, getting set up, and practicing before they participate in matches that determine their qualification ranking.  Events will include an opening ceremony each morning, a lunch break (concessions available!) and a concluding awards ceremony! When you arrive, look for the info desk to find the day's schedule or a map of where teams from near you are set up.
