FIRST students are already leaders and innovators of today, and will create the strongest workforce of tomorrow. They not only bring real engineering, design and manufacturing experience into their careers: they bring a love for learning, a focus on critical thinking, and creative problem-solving skills from their FIRST foundation.
Anyone who has been involved with FIRST knows exactly how much of an impact this program has, but what about when they joined? Students, mentors, parents, teachers and supporters all started somewhere! When did you?
We're looking for stories of what you remember from your first year in FIRST. What was it like when you watched your first game reveal? Competed in your first match? Truly experienced Gracious Professionalism in action for the first time?
NE FIRST's rookie year was 2014! We remember hearing from Woodie and building the best district events we could for the first time. The inaugural New England District Championship hosted 53 teams in Boston, and now in 2025 we'll host almost double that!
