[FTC MA] Scrimmages + Registration Reminder

Hello Everyone!

I hope your first full week with BIOBUZZ has led to many strategy discussions and many ideas to chase for your robots. After this week, expect a team email blast every other Monday. I am still working on Qualifier venues. If you're interested in hosting, please let me know and we can discuss.

Season Registration

Please be sure to finish your season registration as soon as you can. This is the $350 per team payment to FIRST done through the dashboard and the shop. This can be done by the Lead Coach 1, Lead Coach 2, and Team Administrator. I am aware that the financial guarantor information is the thing holding a lot of teams back from paying their season registration, and FIRST is doing everything it can to process every financial guarantor request. So far 62 teams have paid their season registration.

"Event Ready" status means that both Lead Coach 1 and 2 exist, has a completed background check (valid for 4 years), and has completed Youth Protection Training on training.firstinspires.org. Completing the Youth Protection Training is a new requirement this season, and is also a requirement to volunteer for an event. If it's still showing an outstanding task for you, that means that you have not completed "Mentor Ready" training, but that is not a requirement to be "Event Ready". So far 24 teams are Event Ready.

Qualifier Payments

While the Qualifier Schedule is still being worked on, teams can now pay for Qualifiers on Zeffy. Please make sure you have a "ticket" for each qualifier you're paying for, per team; ex: I'm checking out for 2 teams for 2 qualifiers - I select 4, put in the first team number twice, and the second team number twice.

Please note that when checking out, you can change the amount to give to Zeffy to $0 by selecting Other:

If you need an invoice, I can generate one through Zeffy, and it also gives the option to pay by check to confirm that you intend to secure your qualifier payments. Please be sure in the memo line to include the team numbers of the teams you are paying for.

Scrimmages

If you would like to host a public scrimmage, please fill out this form. By filling out this form, this event will become public on FTC-Events. Filling out the form is a prerequisite to use any official MA FTC equipment for a scrimmage, and any scrimmage using MA FTC equipment must be open for any team to sign up for.

Our friends in Rhode Island also host an event simulation scrimmage, the Holiday Battle Scrimmage hosted by North Kingstown Robotics. The flyer for that event is attached.

If you want to host a Robot in 3 Weeks Scrimmage, please let me know AS SOON AS POSSIBLE so we can coordinate and get teams out for it.

Thank you, and have a great week!
