Week 1 in New England FRC: #NEGSD

The Granite State District Event was a celebration not only of the hard work every competing team put in this year, but also of a return to the FRC events we've missed so much in the past two years. We're in awe over the high level of competition we saw from everyone who jumped in and picked a Week 1 event!

New Hampshire is the birthplace of FIRST Robotics. The event planning committee welcomed 39 teams from New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut and Vermont at Salem High School in Salem, NH. They worked hard to bring you a safe and fun-filled weekend of intense robot competition from load-in on Friday, March 3rd, all the way through Saturday, March 5th.

The Granite State District Event was full of energy and excitement all weekend. Teams experienced so many firsts early on: a traversal climb by match 1, 4 ranking points for an alliance by match 2, a quintet by match 8. It was wonderful to see teams competing and cooperating again!

Not only was it our first event in 2 years, but it was NE FIRST Executive Director Michael Fantom's first event ever!
