Katie Bonner, NE FIRST Senior Mentor

Katie is the NE FIRST Senior Mentor for Massachusetts, helping teams in all programs navigate the world of FIRST. She has been a business mentor with FRC 6328 since 2016, and a member of the Littleton Robotics Board of Directors since 2017, serving as their Board President from 2017–23. She often volunteers at FRC and FLL events around New England and is a parent of two FIRST alumni (classes of 2020 / 2023). Professionally, Katie works in nonprofit administration for The Decibels Foundation and previously worked in corporate communications and technical documentation in a variety of industries.

FIRST LEGO League Coaches Workshop
Whether you are launching a new team or scaling your existing pipeline, this session covers the complete lifecycle of running FIRST LEGO League teams. Drawing on a decade of experience, we will break down what works, what doesn't, and how to build a lasting bridge into high school programs. We will also provide free time with the LEGO Education SPIKE Prime platform, where mentors can get their hands on a kit and play through sensor tutorials and basic drive bases. Finally, we will open up the room to discuss how to prepare your local pipeline for the upcoming 2027 K-8 program changes.
