FIRST in New England

The FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC)
in New England

NEFIRST was the third region of the United States to move to the new District Model, a strategic decision to handle a critical mass of FRC teams. Over the past three years, volunteer organizers have been working with FIRST on the formation of the District Model, and last year New England began operation of the district model for the FIRST Robotics Competition. A new 501(c)(3) not for profit public charity, ingenuityNE™, was formed in New England as the fiduciary agent implementing the model.

The six New England states (Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Vermont, Maine and New Hampshire) are organized within the District Model as the FRC New England District.
